His latest film, Perfect Days, features the iconic actor Kōji Yakusho as an elderly man cleaning toilets in Tokyo — a masterpiece of layered emotions, gradually seeping into a seemingly simple narrative, portraying Tokyo as a psychological landscape of intense inner turmoil.
